Farida and Nanditha met as two mission-driven educators committed to expanding opportunity and equity for all learners. With decades of combined experience in school leadership, instructional design, and systems change, they witnessed firsthand how a lack of financial literacy holds students back—not just academically, but generationally.
They launched EmpowerED Finances with a bold vision: to close the wealth gap by equipping young people in historically marginalized communities with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to make empowered financial decisions—starting early. At the heart of their approach is a simple but powerful insight: when students understand how money works and are given the chance to put that knowledge into action, they’re positioned to build real, lasting wealth.
